Yeast Infection

Yeast infection or thrush is fungal infection which usually affects the area in between the toes, the genital & the under arm area. Women most commonly develop this infection in their vaginal area, especially during pregnancy, when their immune system is weak & there are many hormonal changes occurring. Though not serious, this condition is highly irritating as it can lead to a lot of discomfort, itching and burning. Contrary to the belief, this condition affects men just as much as women.

Food groups to consume in wet cough:

1. Yogurt: Contains lactobacillus bacteria that helps to destroy
yeast fungus

2. Yeast Free Foods: Combat yeast sensitivity

Foods to consume: Carrots, beet roots, tomatoes, cabbage and bell peppers

3. Vitamin C: Prevent recurring yeast infections

Foods to consume: Spinach and potatoes

4. Aloevera: Has amazing healing properties and helps fight


Recipes based on the above food groups:

Recipe 1: Minty buttermilk

1. Put 100 gm yogurt in a blender
2. Add 100 ml water to it
3. Now, add 1 tsp chopped mint leaves
4. Also add 3-4 chopped spinach leaves and 1 tsp finely chopped
coriander leaves
5. For taste, add some salt and pepper as well
6. Blend this well
7. Your buttermilk is ready
8. Serve this chilled

This minty buttermilk is great post lunch drink as it also aids digestion

Recipe 2: Lemony aloe juice

1. Peel & chop 2 cucumbers
2. Add these to a blender
3. Add 2 tbsp aloevera juice to it. This juice is readily available in
the market
4. Add a few mint leaves
5. Blend these all together
6. Pour this in a glass
7. Now, add 1 tsp lemon juice
8. Mix this well
9. Make sure to served chilled
