How to Make a Simple Dal & Use a Pressure Cooker!

So why is this video in a playlist called “Recipes for Bachelors?” Well that actually has to do with the origin of this entire channel. When I started “Eating to Live” back in 2011 it was to help out my husband’s bachelor classmates with their cooking skills. These guys were away from home, studying in a foreign country, and had rarely had to prepare food on their own. I posted my first few videos and that’s where it all began. I should also add that during his bachelor days my husband did his fair share of cooking, and realized how invaluable it was to hone some skills in the kitchen. Since it had been a long time since I shared a recipe for a simple dal, I decided it was high time to share one. When we need a reset, we typically go for a yellow dal with a vegetable side dish plus rotis or fulkas. This dal is comfort is a bowl, and like any bachelor will tell you, knowing how to make a good and simple dal can be a lifesaver. Also, knowing how to use your pressure cooker can save you time and energy, so here are some tips for that too!
