How to Treat Piles | Healthy Recipes

Piles

Piles or haemorrhoids refers to the swelling or inflammation of the veins inside or around the rectum. Piles can be extremely painful since it can lead to a lot of soreness, itching, irritation, burning and swelling around the rectum. In severe cases, it can lead to bleeding as well.

Causes:

• Chronic constipation
• Diarrhoea
• Pregnancy
• Aging

Recipes based on the above food groups:

Recipe 1: Salad

1. In a bowl, add 3 tbsp shredded cabbage
2. Then, add 2 tbsp grated carrot
3. Also add 1 tbsp sliced capsicum
4. Next, add 2 tbsp green gram or moong bean sprouts
5. Add a few chopped coriander leaves
6. Mix them all well together and keep aside

For the dressing

7. Take 30 ml orange juice
8. Add ½ tsp ginger juice to it
9. Also add ½ tsp honey
10. Add salt and pepper for taste and whisk well
11. Once ready, add this dressing to all the vegetables in the bowl and mix well
12. Serve this salad chilled

Recipe 2: Quinoa & apple porridge

1. Rinse well 3 tbsp quinoa with water and add it in a vessel
2. Add 1 cup of water
3. Bring this water to boil and cover it
4. Allow it to cook for 10 minutes
5. Now, add 200 ml cows milk
6. Add ½ chopped apple in it and stir it
7. Cover the vessel and let it cook for another 5 minutes till the
quinoa is tender
8. Once done, add 3-4 crushed almonds
9. For a sweet finish, add some honey and serve

Tips:

• Avoid consuming any fried and or refined foods
• Refrain from eating animal proteins such as red meat and
chicken because they are comparatively difficult to digest
