Ingredients : Peas Pulao
Ghee – 2 TBS
Bay Leaf – 1
Green Cardamom – 2
Black Cardamom -1
Cinnamon Stick – 1/4 inch
Star Anise -1
Cashews – 10
Almonds – 5
Peas – 1/2 cup
Salt – to taste
Water – 1 cup
Wash and soak the rice for 15 minutes.
Heat ghee in pressure cooker and add all whole spices.
Fry on low heat, add cashews and almonds .
When they turn slightly golden in colour add 1/2 cup peas and stir for 1-2 minutes.
Now add the rice( drain all water from it) and fry them on low heat for 3 minutes.
Add 1 cup of water and salt to taste and cover the lid of pressure cooker and wait for one whistle(High Flame) and then turn off the flame.
Wait for pressure cooker to cool down and then open the lid and leave uncovered for sometime .
Fluff up with fork and serve hot with any gravy of your choice.
Serve Hot with Raita or Curry of ur Choice
